December is almost upon us for our Holiday Social hosted by the National Office, with financial and volunteer support from BC locals and the BCRC.
The purpose of this event is to provide a fun and welcoming evening for local leaders, members and activists to thank them for their hard work throughout the year. In addition, it is an opportunity for us to invite labour movement allies, politicians, and to raise funds to be donated to a local charity.
The details of the social are as follows:
Date: Friday December 8, 2023
Time: 4:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m.
Location: Unifor B.C. Office, 326 12th Street, New Westminster
Dinner: Buffet will be served @ 5:30 p.m.
*** The first 50 people will receive a gift.
In order to ensure the success of this event we need volunteers; there is a form attached with positions to be filled on the day of the social.
I would ask that you canvas your local leadership and members and provide names of those who are able to volunteer. Please return the list to [email protected] asap.
We are also asking for donations from the Locals, including items possibly from your units for a silent auction. The monies raised by the silent auction will be going to Monarch Place. Please advise Debbie by email at [email protected]on what you will be donating and/or silent auction items.
