Unifor held a barbecue in New Westminster to raise money to help with the fire relief efforts in B.C.
Unifor Local 2000 members from the Times Colonist donated $250 to the cause. In total, the barbecue raised $11,100. We have Unifor members in the affected areas who have been displaced by the wildfires. If you or someone you know has space in your home, or a trailer or space on your property for a trailer, please email [email protected] with your contact info. The union is putting together a housing registry to help members affected by the fires.
