Local 2000 members at the Queen’s Printer ratified a new collective agreement on October 29.
This is a joint certification with Unifor Local 780G so bargaining for both unions was done together.
The agreement fits the pattern set by other unions that negotiate with the provincial government for term and wages (5.5% over 5 years).
There were also some improvements in benefits, the cost of which had to be offset by changes in other parts of the collective agreement.
The unions have merged two separate training funds in order to better access work-related training for all members.
