A new Australian gaming system promises to get gamers on their feet and reduce rates of childhood obesity.

The Realm is a wearable gaming device in the form of hand-controllers connected to a belt. The aim is use resistance, whether it’s pushing, pulling or hitting, to become immersed in the game.

Although active video games are nothing new, inventors behind The Realm claim the fitness resistance system’s unique point of difference is its ability to measure a player’s energy outputs, positions and level of force.
