THE OPPORTUNITY

Mitchell Press has an opening for a Landa Press Feeder for Canada’s first Landa Nanographic Printing® Press, reporting to the Pressroom Manager.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Work to produce consistent high-quality commercial print production on Canada’s first Landa Nanographic Printing®
  • Review job ticket and discuss job specifications with Landa Press Operator to ensure complete understanding and verify all key information is present.
  • Perform preventative and routine maintenance on printing equipment to ensure maximum equipment
  • Keep records of routines and maintenance
  • Assist to ensure product quality for all downstream finishing
  • Verify ink/coating and paper
  • Prepare and load stock into the Monitor all material being used on the press (ink, coatings, etc.).
  • Re-stock excess materials and prepare materials for next
  • Communicate complete and accurate information to the next
  • Accurately track time and material
  • All other duties and responsibilities as

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • 1 – 3 years offset and digital press experience
  • The ability to lift up to 50 regularly, handling sheets up to 28”x40” in size.
  • Quality conscientious and able to work in a fast-paced environment and meet
  • Demonstrate a thirst for learning new technology and take ownership of this
  • Excellent communication skills with attention to
  • Ability to prepare and setup jobs, always staying one step
  • Komori Sheetfed / Stream-feeding experience an
  • Knowledge of Fiery DFE (Digital Front End) an
  • You are reliable and possess a positive attitude and look forward to working in a culture which promotes
  • Ability to stand and operate equipment about 95% of the
  • Ability to work in varying temperatures depending on
  • Ability to work shiftwork and overtime as

COMPENSATION:

This Union position pays $27.67 an hour (plus shift-differential), based on a full-time 40-hour work week. The Benefits Plan includes extended health, dental and a group pension plan.
