Mitchell Press hiring a digital media specialist

Note: This is a union position. 
Mitchell Press is looking for a Digital Media Specialist to join our Digital Print Division.
Ideal candidates will have the following qualifications:
— 5+ yrs working experience in a printing or design environment
— Diploma or degree in Design or Marketing
— Knowledge of digital design, trends, and best practices across multiple platforms
— Experience in Colour Management and image editing
— Ability to execute visually appealing mock-ups
— Ability to take art direction and critique
— Must have a keen eye for detail
— Strong conceptual thinking
— Knowledge and experience with typography and design
— Ability to collaborate with a team and also work autonomously
— Understanding of digital production process and able to deliver press-ready files
— Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite
— Experience with social media a plus
— Experience with web programming a plus
The successful individual must be well organized, have strong communication skills, and the desire to
work with an excellent team of individuals.
This position is based on a 37.5-hour work week, Monday to Friday. Shift work may be required.
The position pays $28.86 an hour, plus benefits.
