La Presse, the Montreal-based French language daily, announced today that it will no longer publish its weekday print editions as of Jan. 1. The paper will continue publishing in print on Saturdays.

La Presse+  readers spend an average of 40 minutes on the site on weekdays and 60 minutes on Saturdays, the statement says. La Presse+ is also renewing readership and lowering the average age of readers in the 25-to-54 age group, who make up 63% of its audience.
