With the price of oil falling, more and more people are starting to worry about job security.

On Saturday, a free workshop held in Calgary was packed with people looking to increase their skill set.

The free, one-day HTML500 event taught coding and computer programming to participants wanting to get a jump in Canada’s booming tech industry.

The event was sponsored by the Vancouver Economic Commission (VEC). The city has a huge demand for workers with technical skills.
