The Union and Company have now spent three weekends bargaining for a renewed collective agreement for Total Delivery Systems owner/operators, employees, TC drivers and messengers, including this past weekend of November 5th and 6th.
Bargaining, to date, has been centered on rewriting and improving mostly non-monetary language in the collective agreement – most of which has an impact on how you do your jobs.
We have signed off on dozens of revised and additional clauses that have been agreed to by both parties. There are still some tough issues on the table that we are working to resolve but much progress has been made.
Due to scheduling difficulties, we are not able to meet again, face to face, until January 28-29, 2012, although some work will continue via email.
At that time we expect to start tackling the major economic issues on the table.
