Two Postmedia journalists have been honoured with Jack Webster Awards for their reporting.

The Vancouver Sun and Province reporters Gordon Hoekstra and Lori Culbert were named winners at a Monday evening awards event at the Hyatt Regency in downtown Vancouver.

Hoekstra won in the category of Best News Reporting of the Year (Print/Digital) for his story on the B.C. trucking industry and why there have been several truck strikes on overpasses and bridges since 2021.

Culbert won in the category of Excellence in Investigative & Enterprise Journalism for her stories on the overdose death of University of Victoria student Sidney McIntyre-Starko in a dorm.
