PNG bargaining update

Pacific Newspaper Group and CEP 2000 have set three dates to begin negotiating a new collective agreement.
Negotiators will meet March 15, 17 and 21.
The parties have agreed to begin with some preliminary issues, such as confirming current contract language wording, a “housekeeping” review for clauses that may need updating, a review of legislative changes since the last agreement (such as the elimination of mandatory retirement at age 65) and discussions about our grievance procedure.
