The Local is offering Shop Steward Level I training for Vancouver Island members on Saturday, January 29, 2011 from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. at the Silver Bridge Inn in Duncan.
This course is designed for beginners and/or people with no Shop Steward or Union training.
The course will cover topics such as:
- Building Solidarity
- The Steward’s Role
- Purpose of Communication
- Handling Grievances
- Harassment
- Representing Members
