RESPONSIBILITIES
Reporting directly to the Post Press Manager, the Shipper exhibits job relevant knowledge and skills needed to
perform the duties and requirements of a Shipper. Demonstrates excellent knowledge of job duties, work practices, policies, procedures and equipment. Coordinate processing of outgoing product, preparing and loading material in a complete, timely and accurate manner in order to meet delivery deadlines, packaging quality and customer requirements. Understands, embraces and adheres to 5S workplace organization standards.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
Completion of Grade 12 is preferred.
A strong understanding of GlobeTek.
A valid Forklift & Clamp truck Operator’s Certificate.
A valid Driver’s License, with an acceptable driving history (maximum 5 points in the last three years, and
zero prohibitions or suspension in the last 3 years).
WHMIS
Attention to detail & accuracy.
A minimum three (3)-five (5) years’ experience in a busy shipping area.
A valid Propane Ticket.
Transportation of Dangerous Goods (TDG Certificate
ADDITIONAL INFORMATION
Rate of Pay: $17.75 per hour as per the UNIFOR Local 780G Collective Agreement. At least 6 months in the position is required to gain a full knowledge and understanding of the role. Experience in the printing industry is considered a strong asset. Bonafide physical requirements to carry out the duties of the role include; standing, walking, climbing, lifting and carrying up to 35lbs. through 12 hour shifts. Part-Time employees will be scheduled or called in based on seniority within their classification for up to full-time
hours. Part-Time employees are not guaranteed any shifts. Part-Time employees must maintain 1560 hours in any
one (1) year (based on the employees anniversary of their date of hire) in order to receive benefits, those Part-Time employees who do not maintain 1560 hours, shall be paid 12% of their regular straight earning in lieu of benefits provided they have successfully completed their probationary period.
